The Brake pads need replacing from time to time, the pads wear down over time as you were pulling the brakes. The grit and grime that picked up from the road surface accelerate such process as well. So when is the right time to replace them?
Well, if your braking had became a little unresponsive, take a look at the brake pads. If you can’t see any grooves, “teeth” or some form of pattern on the brake pads, that would be the right time to replace your brake pads on your Brompton.
The pair of brakes pads on the left are used up, and needed to be replaced. Try look for the pads which had curve on them for the better fit on the Brompton’s smaller wheel size. The pair on the right are just fit for that.
