Fixing a broken easy wheel’s extension

by Petrelli

I had added an extension at the right side of the TiPartWorkshop Ti-Carbon rack for a better balance after the Brompton is folded. This brass extension had been serving me perfectly for the pass year, until it is snap into 2 anyway.

As you can see from the following image, the brass extension bolt snapped into half and part of it was left inside the rack. We had to remove such left over before we can reapply the other one onto it.

This is what I had done:

The brass extension was broken into 2 halves.

The rack uses a 6mm bolt to secure onto the rack. I used a few different sizes of drill bits to “extract” the left over out.

Completing the job by re-tapping the threads before re-installing the extension/easy wheels.
